Rust issues you can actually pick up

Motivation We want it to make Zebra's configuration options more discoverable by adding all of the available config options to the generate commands's output, and comment out non-default options. Ideally we could add documentation for each line to explain how to use each…

There’s a few things we’ve wanted to do around our continuous benchmarking that we can’t with the current action. They are: Call out performance improvements in addition to regressions Put the improvements and regressions in #updates-benchmarks instead of just the link to the…

Hi! Thanks for jolt it's truly an awesome tool I use every day :) It'd be cool if the Brewfile for jolt would define a system service which can be started for jolt's daemon mode. Here's an example for another popular TUI-tool (atuin):…

Is there an existing issue for this? I have searched the existing issues Platform x64 Linux (linux-x64, Most Common) Editor CLI (Command Line Interface) Editor Version N/A, I'm just using the cli Describe the bug tinymist preview does not honor the TYPST_ROOT environment…

@mooori mentioned that this topic came up in discussions. I'm thinking: Avoid memory allocation. Avoid unaligned memory access (avoid small ints like i8 and i16). Avoid Vec and probably other high-level container types. Use arrays. Felt arithmetic should have near-zero overhead…

Summary Found as an out-of-scope observation while reviewing PR for #375. CapsuleRegistry::register and CapsuleRegistry::register_connector both return CapsuleError::UnsupportedEntryPoint when a duplicate ID is detected, but their doc comments claim they return…

Summary crates/astrid-hooks/src/handler/agent.rs contains a fully stubbed AgentHandler that: execute() always returns HookExecutionResult::Skipped is_available() always returns false Has an unused AgentConfig with a hardcoded "claude-3-haiku" model string The HookHandler::Agent…

Summary The word("...") syntax for deriving a Word constant from a string hash is widely used (especially for named storage slot IDs) but is not documented in the assembly reference. Details The code organization docs document word constants declared as arrays ([1,2,3,4]) and hex…

Background The mock network implementation of send_indexer_height in crates/node/src/network.rs is a no-op stub without test coverage. Previously tracked as #226, but that issue was about signature generation strategy, not this. User Story As a developer, I want…

What problem does this solve? For contributors to be able to see at a glance which linters are lint groups with child linters, which linters are grouped together, etc. Proposed Solution harper-cli linter-tree would walk the tree of Linters / LintGroups. Every LintGroup implements…

Describe the bug I'm using https://github.com/delta-io/delta-rs for reading and writing to Microsoft Fabric Onelake, but the error I'm getting points to the issue being part of this repository. I'm using a fabric workspace with public access disables, when trying to use the…

In scylladb/vector-store#329 vector-store started to pass various flags to Scylla when executing tests, in order to lower resource consumption and speed it up. We may consider doing the same. Note: We need to remember about both docker cluster, and ccm.

Problem description When using uv, if I do uv lock and uv sync in a project with pyproject.toml, the if there is a dev dependency-group, the listed packages are automatically added to the default environment. With pixi however, they get added to the dev environment only. It would…

Follow-up to #589 review comment. The Rust SDK already has create_with_pull_progress and create_detached_with_pull_progress, but they have a few gaps compared to the TS and Python equivalents: Naming inconsistency. Rust is ..._with_pull_progress; TS is createWithProgress; Python…

Context Follow-up from PR #2326 (port node launcher to Rust). Tracked in #2598. Problem In crates/tee-launcher/src/types.rs (lines 62-66), rpc_request_timeout_secs, rpc_request_interval_secs (u64), and rpc_max_attempts (u32) have no bounds checking. Zero values cause silent…

While we have difftests, Use https://github.com/Rust-GPU/VulkanShaderExamples as benchmarks contains a lot of real-world shaders across multiple impls. We should use them as an additional difftest corpus. I am unsure if it is currently set up to render to a file to compare, but…

Background After discussing responder accounts a bit back and forth, we've aligned that we'll remove them until we find any need to re-introduce them. The main complication is due to the fact that we use the signing keys for the transactions to verify that responses comes from…

Motivation Every time I open a Typst file, I need to open the preview window manually. This is cumbersome, especially if I'm not planning to edit the specific file, but simply want to find the right one or check something. Description Would be nice if there was an option to…

Goal Document how legacy v1 ConstraintHints relate to first-class special constraints in OMMX v3, and how users explicitly opt into checked promotion. The relevant implementations are merged: #1193: checked OneHot promotion in Rust. #1197: batch SOS1 Big-M promotion in Rust and…

Describe what you want Currently only termusic client is on MacPorts. It can't be used without a server, so having a server binary there would be cool Do you have already an idea for the implementation? To submit a Portfile to MacPorts with the server as well

Summary The “Process Insight” screen handles a significant amount of data depending on the display range. Therefore, we aim to reduce the volume of data processed and improve performance. Details Filter the display targets in the graph In particular, items with short durations…

Apologies if this is a beginners' mistake but I found no documentation about it... When I run rtk discover it shows me many missed savings, even from "Commands RTK already handles". What does that mean exactly? If these commands are handled, then we do I not get the savings for…

Now that all the cloud providers are supported on wasm32-unknown-unknown, the docs will need somewhat of an update, probably inclusive of a link to the getrandom docs / the .cargo/config.toml that's checked in here.

We don't have a benchmark suite. In https://github.com/Rust-GPU/VulkanShaderExamples, we have a bunch of shaders with the same logic written in multiple languages. Also, they have a way to benchmark built in. So all we need to do is automate running and reporting the benchmarks…

Context Follow-up flagged by @pszymkowiak in PR #1076 review. #1045 was about rtk read counting user-requested line truncation as RTK token savings. The same pattern likely exists in: src/cmds/git/git.rs:200 — git diff tracking src/cmds/git/git.rs:314 — git show tracking Both…

This is another pedantic/auditor-only audit most likely: we should flag when a job's runs-on references a pretty old image, e.g. uses: ubuntu-20.04. Ideally we'd do this via a service like https://endoflife.date, if they have a dataset for this.

[78](https://github.com/tursodatabase/turso/actions/runs/21879378973/job/63157240521?pr=4999#step:11:179) thread 'fuzz_tests::math_expression_fuzz_run_mvcc' panicked at tests/fuzz/mod.rs:4337:21: query: SELECT (trunc(atanh((tanh(0.0 - 2.0) + mod(2.0, 2.0) * (-2.0 - 0.0))))) +…

inject_basic_auth and inject_query_params are redundant once inject_headers covers any header line (the request line is line 0, so query params are included; Basic decode can be made implicit). collapse SecretInjection to just headers + body in a future 0.5.0 breaking release.…

Replies display the entire contents of the original message instead of e.g. a couple of rows + ellipsis or whatnot. This leads to a lot of vertical space taken up by the reply, especially if the original message had an image. Now that #452 (adds :replied command) is merged, I…

As per this Discord discussion opening an issue to track work on the end-to-end tests for Web UI. I am suggesting to use fantoccini with chromedriver to test Web UI. Example/reference of setup, utilities, and break-down can be found here. We can break the work into a few…

I just realised Sniffnet still doesn't have a page on Wikipedia 😱 I'll leave this issue here hoping that someone has the time and will to write it down! You can give a look at the Sniffnet blog and my thesis to find more info about the project.

Summary The ONNX ImageScaler operator is not currently supported. This blocks importing TinyYOLOv2 from the ONNX Model Zoo. Operator ImageScaler applies a per-channel scale and bias to an image tensor: output = input * scale + bias. Attributes: bias (list of floats): per-channel…

We would like to offer our precompiled Ruby binaries to mise users. According to the mise ruby docs, we can: Fork asdf-ruby to mise-rv Update the mise-rv repo scripts to install Ruby via rv instead of ruby-build (and install rv if it's already available) Update the rv README to…

Summary The current implementation only supports Cashu tokens generated using NUT-00/01/02/03/04 standards (cashuA format). However, the Cashu ecosystem is evolving and newer versions (NUT-05+) generate tokens in cashuB format, which our CDK-based implementation cannot decode.…

our CLI is a bit buggy (e.g. -version is ignored instead of failing when --version is what it should be). we also don't have proper long/short support etc... earlier I wanted to keep it simple without adding dependencies but it's grown quite a bit so we should migrate to clap.

A CompactOrderedHashMap<String, _> has a contains_key method that expects a &String. this means we cannot call method with a &str: if map.contains_key("foo") // error! if map.contains_key(&"foo".to_string()) // works but requires constructing a new object We should review the…

@niklasdewally brought up in our chat today that it would be a good idea to scan the model for dangling/undefined variable references as part of integration testing. Using the biplate(to=SubModel) implementation we can get all submodels, and check that all reference atoms are…

Why is there no IPC support for Lighthouse? I think it is a typical case where a node runner has execution and consensus clients on the same machine. In addition, OP Stack needs to connect to l1 execution and beacon nodes. These can also be run on the same machine, especially…

There is an web-extension compatible with Firefox that can be used for testing until we work on integrating the API directly into the browser. This extension uses the cloneInto function from Firefox to share data between the content and background scripts. This is a…

The screenshots are from a previous iteration of the UI that used GNOME's Adwaita GTK widgets. The current UI is bare GTK and looks uglier. 😆 But we should probably update the screenshots so that people know what they're getting. Adding a demo video might be interesting too.

Currently we only check for the maximum stack size before trying to push an element onto the stack. However, we should also limit the capacity of the internal Vec to prevent any unexpected memory usage.

The file is already ~2000 lines long. We should move auxiliary types and functions to other modules. Splitting the Store impl block into multiple modules is also on the table.

this issues reported after #1084 after #1084, we need to differentiate opcode circuit/table circuit in another way. It's better to refactor https://github.com/scroll-tech/ceno/blob/master/ceno_zkvm/src/bin/riscv_stats.rs for retrieve circuit information in more robust way

To simplify and standardize how events are registered, should we add on/once methods to the handler event? Current State only CommandResponseStream extending EventEmitter or expect: const client = new Client(<config>) const cb = ()=>console.log client.on("connecting",cb)…

As of now /components/NAME/genericservice only accepts application/octet-stream The endpoint should also accept JSON containing the genericservice data as hex string: { "send": "0x31010203" }

Context A lot of the logic in the syscomm library is duplicated in a match statement between TcpStream and UnixStream. This could be avoided by using a closure like implemented here: #844

Describe the problem/motivation With Zebar 3’s new widget-pack marketplace, simply launching zebar.exe does not automatically activate my desired theme or widget pack. I routinely restart Zebar (e.g. after sleep or config reload), but the topbar doesn’t appear until I manually go…

We have hard coded mps2 in kernel/adapter/cmsis/src/uart.rs Line 15 in ec159c2 use blueos::{boards::qemu_mps2_an385::config, irq::IrqTrace, support::DisableInterruptGuard}; .

Describe the problem/motivation Zebar appears to rely on a fixed localhost port (127.0.0.1:6124) for its internal local server / WebView loading flow. This can conflict with other resident applications that bind the same port. In my case, it conflicted with Shure MOTIV Mix /…
